1. Download the latest version of Pidgin form http:\/\/www.pidgin.im\/<\/a>
\n2. Install it on your system
\n3. Go to “Accounts” and select “Manage Accounts.”
\n4. On the Basic tab, enter the following info:<\/b><\/p>\n

Protocol: Facebook (XMPP)
\nUsername: < your-Facebook-loin (without @mail.com) >
\nDomain: chat.facebook.com
\nResource: Pidgina
\nPassword: < your Facebook password >
\nLocal alias: Your Name<\/p>\n

5. Click the Advanced tab, then enter the following info:
\nConnect port: 5222
\nConnect server: chat.facebook.com
\n(Uncheck the box labeled “Require SSL\/TLS”)
