\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 *<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ERROR at line 1:<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ORA-16038: log 1 sequence# 230 cannot be archived<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ORA-19809: limit exceeded for recovery files<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ORA-00312: online log 1 thread 1: ‘\/opt\/oracle\/db\/home\/data\/imapdb\/redo01.log’<\/span>

Solution<\/b><\/u>:<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

Below I have mentioned tow step by step recovery solutions. Based on your environment you can choose the option.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solution 1<\/span><\/b><\/u><\/h3>\n

If you have enough disk space available, you can increase the db_recovery_file_dest_size larger.<\/span>
\n1. Log into the database as sysdba and find out the present db recovery file size.<\/span>
\nOpen Command Prompt<\/span>
\nc:> sqlplus \/nolog<\/b>
\nSQL> connect sys\/manager as sysdba<\/b>
\nSQL>show parameter db_recovery_file_dest<\/b>
\n2. Increase the size to higher .<\/span>
\nSQL> alter system set db_recovery_file_dest_size = 10g;<\/b>
\nSystem altered.<\/span>
\nSQL> shutdown abort<\/b>
\nORACLE instance shut down.<\/span>
\nSQL> startup<\/b><\/p>\n

Solution 2<\/span><\/b><\/u><\/h3>\n

Free up the space from flash recovery area.<\/span>
\n1. Log into the database as sysdba and find out the location log.<\/span>
\nOpen Dos Command Prompt<\/span>
\nc:> sqlplus \/nolog<\/b>
\nSQL> connect sys\/manager as sysdba<\/b>
\nSQL>show parameter db_recovery_file_dest<\/b><\/p>\n

\n<\/span> 2.\u00a0 Delete unwanted old archive log files manually (rm\/del).<\/span>

\nManual deleting will not clear the entries in rman<\/span>
\n3.\u00a0 Log in to rman and delete the expired the archive log entries.<\/span>
\nGo to Command Prompt<\/span>
