While performing VMotion migration, following error occurred.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Currently connected device ‘CD\/DCD drive 1′ uses backing'[]\/usr\/lib\/vmware\/isoimages\/linux.iso’, which is not accessible.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Unable to migrate from <ESX srv 1> to <ESX srv2>: Virtual machine is configured to use a device that prevents migration: Device \u2018CD\/DVD Drive 1\u2019 is a connected device with a remote backing.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Solution: <\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Edit the Virtual machine and reconfigure the CD or FDD as shown below.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
