VMware vCenter Update Manager Error<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/h2>\n

1) While patch updating the VMware ESX Servers , It failed with a bellow mentioned Error Message<\/span><\/p>\n

Error:<\/u><\/span><\/h3>\n
“There are errors during the remediation operation. Check the Tasks and Events tab and log files for details”.<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
Log Shows: <\/span><\/div>\n
“Cannot remediate host, Because it is a part of a HA admission control enabled cluster”<\/span><\/div>\n

Solution:<\/u><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0Select the below mentioned option during the remediation process.<\/span>
\n“Disable High Availability admission control if it is enabled for any of the selected cluster”<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span> 2) VMware Tools Upgrade for a Virtual Machine on a Host in Maintenance Mode Might Fail with the follwoing error Message:<\/span><\/p>\n

Error:<\/u><\/span><\/h4>\n

The VMware Tools installed in the VM does not support automatic upgrade. Please upgrade VMware Tools manually .<\/span>
\nTasks and Events tab:Remediation of a virtual machine on a host in maintenance mode is not possible the right error message is: There are errors during the remediation operation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solution:<\/u><\/span><\/h4>\n

Connect the disconnected network storage or remove the inaccessible virtual machine from the vSphere inventory.<\/span>

\n<\/span> 3) Host patch and upgrade remediation might fail with the message\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Error:<\/u><\/span><\/h4>\n

There are errors during the remediation operation if an inaccessible virtual machine exists on the host. The reason for this failure might be that the virtual machine files reside on a disconnected network storage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solution:<\/u><\/span><\/h4>\n
