The unused disk blocks of the virtual machine
While Enabling Fault Tolerance (FT) on virtual Machine, following error occurred.
Error:
The unused disk blocks of the virtual machine’s disks have not been scrubbed on the file system. This is needed to support features like Fault Tolerance.
Reason of Error:
Fault Tolerance cannot be enabled on a powered-on virtual machine that has thick formatted or lazy-zeroed disks.
Soultion:
To enable FT, power off the virtual machine, turn on FT, and power on the virtual machine again. This changes the disk format of the virtual machine.
