Mysqld error: can’t open the mysql.plugin mysql_upgrade to create it –\u00a0while starting<\/p>\n

After upgrading my fedora11 to fedora 12, mysqld server stopped working and I gets the following error at start up<\/p>\n

100702 14:52:37 mysqld_safe mysqld from pid file \/var\/run\/mysqld\/mysqld.pid ended<\/p>\n

100702 14:53:28 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from \/var\/lib\/mysql

\n\/usr\/libexec\/mysqld: Table ‘mysql.plugin’ doesn’t exist
\n100702 14:53:28 [ERROR] Can’t open the mysql.plugin table. Please run mysql_upgrade to create it.
\n100702 14:53:29\u00a0 InnoDB: Started; log sequence number 0 44233
\n100702 14:53:29 [ERROR] \/usr\/libexec\/mysqld: unknown option ‘–skip-bdb’
\n100702 14:53:29 [ERROR] Aborting<\/p>\n


\nSolution:
\n<\/u><\/h3>\n
After removing the following obsolete config entries, mysqld started working<\/div>\n

and run mysql_upgrade.<\/p>\n

#skip-innodb
\n#skip-bdb
\n#skip-federated<\/p>\n

So I commented out:
\n#skip-locking<\/b>
\n#skip-innodb<\/b>
\n#skip-bdb<\/b><\/p>\n

Now i started MySQL<\/p>\n

#service mysqld start
\nStarting MySQL:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 [\u00a0 OK\u00a0 ]<\/p>\n

Then I run mysql_upgrade<\/p>\n

#mysql_upgrade\u00a0 -uroot -p
\n#service mysqld restart
\nAnd now everything is working fine<\/p>\n
